Keyboard and Mouse

Every key and mouse gesture the editor responds to. On macOS, use Cmd in place of Ctrl.

Shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a text field and while a dialog is open.

Global

Delete the selected object or signal Del or Backspace
Leave the object placement tool Esc

Del removes only objects and signals. Roads, lane sections and lanes are deleted from the panel on the right, which asks for confirmation first.

Fit the whole map in view Fit in the toolbar

Drawing roads (RoadLine tool)

Action Input
Add a point Click
Add a straight segment regardless of the chosen type Shift + Click
Finish the road Double-click, or right-click → Finish road editing
Discard the line being drawn Esc

A double-click places its first click as the last point; the second click only finishes the road. After Esc the RoadLine tool stays active, so you can start the next road straight away.
